"Road Trip" is the fourth episode in the fourth series of the BBC spy drama Spooks. It aired for the first time on 29 September 2005, and is the thirtieth episode overall.
Synopsis[]
MI5 are alerted to information that a high profile terrorist belonging to a new Islamic splinter group plans to enter the UK via an illegal immigrant route. MI5 send Adam and Zaf to Istanbul where they infiltrate the group and attempt to turn the terrorist away from his militant ideals.
Plot[]
Adam goes undercover as a Circassian from Aleppo, Syria in a people-smuggling operation from Istanbul, Turkey to London in an attempt to turn the leader of a terrorist sleeper cell, Mohammed Yazdi and stop a planned terrorist attack against the Houses of Parliament.
He is able to turn Yazdi, where he implicates a Middle-Eastern Prince, Hakim. However, it is revealed that the plan all along was to assassinate the prince, which unfortunately succeeds after he is brought to Yazdi.
